Recognizing National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month
Every March, we recognize National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month and it is shaping up as a significant and promising period for people with disabilities across New York State.
As an organization, CP Unlimited has remained steadfast in our mission—since 1946— with a focus towards advocacy and services for people with Cerebral Palsy. While today we provide supports for people with a variety of abilities, none of us have ever forgotten our roots and the shared commitment to helping people achieve fulfilling lives nearly eighty years after the Agency began its important work.
This year presents the potential of a more accessible state for persons who use wheelchairs thanks to legislative efforts making their way through current government. This is alongside an expanded network of residential settings, educational offerings, and vocational opportunities for people with Cerebral Palsy, making 2024 a year unlike many others.
We pledge to continue raising awareness, built on our collective dedication and determination to create a better world for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Thank you for supporting CP Unlimited this National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, and always.
