CP Goes Gold at The Interboro Winter Olympics
Persons supported from across the CP Day Hab network had determination in their eyes as they heartily competed to take home the gold in our first Interboro Winter Olympics, held at our Cora Hoffman Center!
Participants representing the Linda Buch Gherardi Day Program and Carmen Aquilone Center in Brooklyn, West Farms Center in The Bronx, Long Island City Day Program in Queens, and the Cora Hoffman Center in Staten Island went head-to-head in fun events like bowling, bean bag toss, egg race, and other feats of balance, endurance, strength, and coordination.
It was an intense afternoon of friendly feuding as the scores were mostly even the entire way through. Competitors were allowed to choose the tiebreaking game and the home team from Cora Hoffman Center emerged victorious after besting the other teams in the bean bag game!
The event was so fun that it was immediately decided to make it an annual competition!
