CP’s End of Year Letter from Joseph M. Pancari
Dear Friends of CP,
This has been a year marked by change, challenge, and convocation, as CP Unlimited took significant steps to increase and diversify our available supports and charted new courses and partnerships to improve the field of care for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Behind each advancement and initiative were the efforts of an innovative team driven by their shared commitment to our mission and the persons we support. Without them, we could not have the impact we do on more than 1,000 families across New York City and the Hudson Valley.

By far, the biggest change to CP Unlimited this calendar year is illustrated by the new name at the end of this message. After 33 years as President & CEO, the organization celebrated the career of Susan Constantino with broad and well-deserved recognition on her retirement.
In taking stock of the organization’s work and potential, we also took confident steps towards convening organizations to create connections to benefit people with I/DD. The Agency joined with CP State leaders to bring together the offices of OPWDD (Office of Persons with Developmental Disabilities) and OMH (Office of Mental Health) to establish new programs offering more integrative housing options with enhanced care. These endeavors will also help fortify sustaining funding streams to buttress organizational stability.

Further, CP Unlimited made inroads expanding our board of directors to deepen available expertise while opening new residences and renovating others throughout our network. Inventive educational efforts launched for persons supported included cooking, reading, and other social activities—alongside new vocational opportunities—making for a more edifying experience in our day habilitation and residential settings.
Simultaneously, the Agency looked to make it a more meaningful year for our team. New work in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion space, alongside the first of an ongoing employee Town Hall series, helped employees feel more empowered and involved in the future of CP Unlimited. We look forward to building on these initiatives in 2023.
All of what we do is motivated by the loving responsibility we collectively feel towards our persons supported. We wish you a new year of health, happiness, and success.
