Barbara N. Scherr Retires From CP Board of Directors
We mark the end of June with the conclusion of our fiscal year, as well as the final period with Barbara N. Scherr as an influential member of CP Unlimited’s Board of Directors.
Ms. Scherr, who currently serves as Secretary, has been on the Agency’s Board since 1996—a remarkable twenty-seven years of service and guidance. She also sits on the Executive Committee.
She has seen the organization evolve and helped propel its success, as we brought new agencies under the CP umbrella and refocused the mission in 2019 to concentrate on the five boroughs of New York City and the Hudson Valley.
Ms. Scherr has also served as CP Unlimited’s representation on the Jawonio Board of Directors, helping elevate the level of care and commitment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in communities throughout the region.
We look forward to welcoming Barbara at upcoming programs and events, as we know she will remain an ally to all in the CP Family.
