Metro Rehabilitation and Article 16 services
CP Unlimited operates six Article 16 clinics throughout New York City and in the Hudson Valley area. We are licensed under OPWDD, with a goal of improving the quality of life for persons through rehabilitative services such as Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychotherapy and Testing services. The Article 16 clinics work directly with the medical director who also serves as the Physiatrist for all rehab services.
The clinics are equipped to address the needs of persons seeking durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, augmentative communication devices, or orthopedic shoes and braces. All of our clinicians are highly skilled, certified, and licensed staff with years of experience working with persons with I/DD.
“I love that I have the privilege to be in the presence of our amazing individuals and help them in every way possible…the borders of the field have expanded so much over the recent years, bringing together related specialties to best serve the needs of our patients!” -Irina Yulis M.A., CCC-SLP, (Staten Island and Manhattan Community)
CP Unlimited counted 932 Admissions, with 14,606 Article 16 visits specifically, in 2023. Owing to efforts at expanding capacity within the clinics, especially amongst our psychotherapists, the Agency was able to count a 30 percent increase in visits from 2022.

“What I like most about our profession is the challenge that comes with dysphagia evaluation and treatment. The way some problems are an “if, then” flow chart of solutions, while others are more open ended. I enjoy discovering the personal goals each patient wants to achieve and drilling exercises to accomplish those goals and/or finding unique ways to accomplish goal success at whatever level they presently are.” -Sarah Edwards M.S., CCC-SLP, (Bronx and Lower Manhattan Communities)
