Welcoming Congresswoman Yvette Clarke to CPU Brooklyn Day Hab
Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (District 9) paid a visit to the Agency’s Carmen Aquilone Day Program and Linda Buch Gherardi Center in Brooklyn to meet our persons supported and dedicated team members and learn more about the CPU mission.
Congresswoman Clarke was able to take in the many different activities- including art, music, and movement- and discussed challenges facing the disability field. Emphasizing the need for additional support, it was a fruitful and impactful conversation.
“I see the value CP Unlimited provides to the families, the community, and the people here—creating and fostering an environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can grow and achieve fulfilling opportunities,” said Clarke.
