Celebrating EID at CP Unlimited
The CP network gathered to enjoy an art and tasting activity to learn more about, and celebrate, the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr.
Team members from across departments and functions joined persons supported online in Day Habilitation programs from The Bronx, Staten Island, and Queens, to hear about traditional fasting during Ramadan, the pillars of Islam, and other fascinating details from The Culture Tree.
Afterwards, participants creatively colored a greeting card and crescent moon and tasted dates with mascarpone cheese and rose petals (after discovering the role of dates in breaking the Ramadan fast and the use of rose flavors in cultural dishes). We also got some beautiful henna done to mark the holiday!
