Building a Coalition in Hudson Valley
The team at CP Unlimited Hudson Valley has made a concerted effort to deepen our relationships with elected officials across the region to create greater awareness of our innovative services and supports and be of deeper help to people with I/DD, veterans and seniors.
Over the past several months, we have hosted a handful of politicians at our Day Habilitation program and residences in Wappingers Falls and Garrison, NY to build a coalition of important boosters who can advance our mission to provide opportunities for people with I/DD to achieve fulfilling lives in innovative and substantive ways.
Each visit was a chance to speak candidly about the needs of the people we support, our unique efforts at closing the staffing gap impacting the field, and ways for further alignment on issues of importance to people with I/DD and other underserved populations.
