On Black History Month: A Message of Hope and History
We mark Black History Month with a message of hope and history. The Agency has always been a diverse place to work and implements its mission throughout our shared communities no matter their composition, to anyone with intellectual and developmental disabilities. But we know that this has not always been the case for all institutions and individuals.
In 2023, we invite you to delve deeper into the history, culture and achievements of the Black community, such that we increase our understanding of this country’s past and current issues around race. With great urgency and a strong commitment, we will continue our work to create opportunities for all people with I/DD to achieve a fulfilling life.
