Educating People We Support on Juneteenth
The CP Unlimited team in Long Island City presented a compelling lesson on the history, celebration, and importance of the Juneteenth holiday. Each of the participants enjoyed learning more about the holiday, and how they can be agents of change in their communities.
Part of our mission to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve fulfilling lives is taking part in important cultural recognitions and creating opportunities for interactive and engaging education. We will always share the story of Juneteenth and look forward to future observances.
