Building on their award-winning invention of an automatic wheelchair brake for manual chairs, the student team from Cooper Union visited CP Unlimited’s Caldwell residence for a round of field testing and demonstration with our Rehabilitation team and some of the people we support who can use the device.
After demonstrating how the attachment affixes to chairs and functions, the benefits were immediately apparent.
CP Unlimited will continue to be a showcase of technologies and smart solutions that contribute to a fulfilling life for people with disabilities. And, no one will ever be able to “put the brake” on that commitment.
