New Step Down Grant from New York State
CP Unlimited received a grant from Governor Kathy Hochul to establish a Hudson Valley ‘step-down’ program to help adults living with co-occurring mental illness and intellectual or developmental disabilities safely transition back into their community following care within an inpatient setting.

John T. Vlachos Appointed as CPU Board Chair
On June 30, 2025, CPU will welcome John T. Vlachos as our new Chairman. Currently the head of the Audit, Compliance, and Risk Committee, Mr. Vlachos has served on the Board of Directors since 2019 and steps into this new role with the appreciation of the entire CPU community.

UNSTOPPABLE: Scott Hooks is a New York resident who creates art and pursues educational courses with CP Unlimited, a leading provider of support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1946. In 2024, Scott’s photography artwork was featured in the organization’s “How We See It” event at Positive Exposure Gallery. He is also an active volunteer in his community.
